I am a one-woman show — no partners, no help. And I like it that way. Every piece that leaves my hands meets my personal standard, because my name is on it.

Roots by the North Sea

I was born and raised in a tiny farming village in northern Germany, close to the North Sea — a community of just 13 homes and 58 residents. Yes, you read that right! Growing up in a place that small, you learn the value of craftsmanship, community, and doing things with care. And growing up near the sea, you fall in love with pearls.

At 19 years old, I arrived in the United States with little more than a suitcase and a strong work ethic — my very first job was at Burger King. Forty-six years later, I am still here — still creating, still crafting, and still holding onto those values I brought with me from that little village by the sea.

How ID Jewelry Designs Was Born

For 29 years I built a career detailing pleasure boats and yachts — work that kept me close to the water I have always loved. Then an accident changed everything. A fall left me incapacitated for nearly two years — I broke my lower leg in three places, endured a difficult surgery, and then three more grueling surgeries to repair the first. The boats were behind me for good.

What had been a hobby became my calling. Out of that difficult chapter, ID Jewelry Designs was born.

13 Years at the Farmers Market

For 13 years I have been selling my jewelry at our local Farmers Market on weekends, building a loyal community of happy, returning customers. Now it is time to bring that same warmth and craftsmanship to Shopify — and to you.

My Promise to You

I do not list pieces that are subpar. I only use quality materials — freshwater pearls, leather, gemstones — and I strive to be as honest as I can be, because happy customers are everything to me.
